Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) keeps running the preparation ahead of rainy season. One of the efforts was distributing facilities and infrastructures.

Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji, said distribution of facilities and infrastructure includes various important equipment such as refugee tents, post tents, and LCR (Landing Craft Rubber) rubber boats.

Isnawa explained that according to BMKG, rainy season in Jakarta will start in the end of October to the beginning of November 2024. The rainy season peak is predicted to occur in February 2025.
Therefore, this step is part of the Jakarta BPBD's efforts to ensure that each region has adequate equipment to face the rainy season.
"We ask the apparatus to be more alert since this infrastructure is placed in the urban village office which can be used at any time to assist the community," he added.
He continued that it is hoped the community will be more prepared in facing the rainy season and potential disasters that may occur with the distribution of facilities and infrastructures.
"Jakarta BPBD continues to be committed to providing the best service and ensuring the safety of Jakarta residents. In addition to distributing facilities and infrastructure, Jakarta BPBD has also prepared other anticipatory steps," he stated.
Jakarta BPBD also urges resident to remain vigilant and immediately contact the Jakarta Siaga 112 Call Center if they find an emergency situation.
